Week - January 10th, 2008
 Hi,
I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an Armed Robbery to a person that occurred on December
14, 2007 at approximately 4:46 pm. The victim reports
that after leaving the Brooklyn Tavern, located at 1901
S. 15th Street, he was approached by a black male subject
who wanted to sell him drugs. When the victim declined
to purchase drugs, the suspect got into the vehicle
with the victim, pointed a silver semi automatic handgun
at him, and demanded all of his money. The victim gave
the suspect the money and the suspect ran west from
the vehicle toward the alley. The victim reports that
he saw the suspect get into either a red Ford Escort
or Focus that left southbound in the alley. The suspect
is described as a black male, 6'0", 285 pounds
and was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt at
the time of the robbery.
