Week - February 21st, 2008
 Hi,
I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February
12, 2007 at 3:00 a.m. in the parking lot of 300 E. Washington.
A taxi cab driver reports that a black male approached
the drivers' side door of his vehicle and pointed a
9 mm handgun at his head. The suspect threatened to
hurt the victim if he did not comply. The victim gave
the suspect cash and his wallet. The suspect fled south
bound and got into a vehicle that was described as a
"beat up and dirty ", white, older model 4
door vehicle, possibly a caprice, with a partial license
plate of "753". The vehicle was occupied by
a second black male. The suspect was described as a
black male, 6'0", 220, 20-23 years old with a thin
mustache and goatee. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt,
a red stocking cap and dark colored pants at the time
of the robbery.
