Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week - March 6th, 2008

Hi, I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties.

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on a Burglary and credit card fraud that occurred on January 25, 2008 at 701 W. Mason, Senior Services of Central Illinois. An employee notified police that she had left her wallet in her purse in her office and that it was now missing. Just prior to responding to this burglary, officers responded to Wal-Mart on North Dirksen for a report of two suspicious people trying to use a debit card to make a purchase. The debit card was issued to the victim from the burglary at the senior services center. The suspects were described as a black male, medium build, in his thirties and a black female, tall and thin with glasses. The suspects left Wal-Mart in a grey 4 door Oldsmobile.

If you have information on this crime or can identify the suspects, you can remain completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427 [1-800-397-2288], submitting a tip via the internet or use a cell phone to send a tip. You could get a cash reward of up to $1000.

Remember Crime Stoppers wants your information, not your name.
