Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week - May 22nd, 2008

Hi, I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties.

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on an aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon that happened in the 1000 block of Knoll Pointe on May 9th at approximately 10:00 pm. The victims were in their residence when they heard approximately five gunshots. One of the occupants noticed a bullet hole in the front wall of her residence. The officers, who arrived on scene, located at least five bullet holes in the residence. Fortunately, no one was injured in this incident. Witnesses at the scene report seeing a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt standing in a yard a short distance away. The witnesses observed this subject shoot at the residence. The suspect then fled south from the scene.
