Stoppers Crime of the
Week - July 31st, 2008
Hi,
I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is attempting to identify
the suspects in a theft that occurred at Wal-mart, 2760
N. Dirksen, on April 27th. One of the suspects purchased
an onion and asked the clerk for change for a $100 bill.
Once he received the money, he continued to ask for
change in different denominations. The cashier became
flustered and after the suspects left, she shut her
drawer down and notified management that $1,200 was
missing from her cash drawer.
The suspects were described as both being heavy set
black males in their thirties. One was 6'0" 240
pounds and the second was 6'3" 300 pounds. The
suspects left Wal-mart in a silver or grey colored Crown
Victoria with no hubcaps.
If you know the identity of these suspects, you can
remain completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers
at 217-788-8427 [1-800-397-2288], submitting
a tip via the internet or use
a cell phone to send a tip. You could get a cash
reward of up to $1000.
Remember Crime Stoppers wants your information, not
your name.
