Week - October 2nd, 2008

I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an Armed Robbery that occurred at the Walgreen's located
at 2020 S. MacArthur, on Monday, September 29th at 3:55
a.m. The suspect entered the store and acted as if he
was going to make a purchase. When the cashier rang
up the sale, and opened the cash drawer, the suspect
reached into the drawer and grabbed the cash. The cashier
attempted to stop the suspect and he produced a box
cutter, swinging it at the employee and forcing her
to open the drawer.
The suspect fled the store on foot, running east. He
was described as a black male in his twenties. He was
wearing all dark clothing and was 5'5", 135 pounds
with black hair and a goatee.
