Stoppers Crime of the
Week - October 30th, 2008
 Hi,
I'm Officer Paula Morrow, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
a homicide that occurred on Sunday, September 16, 2007
at 11:20 pm. Officers responded to the 2200 block of
E. Monroe for a shooting and found two victims with
gun shot wounds. One of the victims, Percy Clement,
later died. The investigation has revealed that the
shooting actually took place near the intersection of
McCreery and Jackson.
The victims were in a white Oldsmobile when they were
approached by three black males. After a brief conversation,
one of the subjects produced a handgun and fired into
the vehicle. Detectives are also attempting to identify
a black female, between the ages of 18-24, 5'4"
to 5'6", average build, with a pony tail who may
have information on this crime.
