Week - November 20th, 2008
Hi, I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
a Residential Burglary that occurred in the 300 block
of S. Illinois on Wednesday September 5th between the
hours of 7:45am and 3:45pm. The homeowner states that
when he returned home from work he noticed that the
double pane glass on his dining room window had been
broken with a brick, and the screen was removed. It
is believed that the dining room window was the point
of entry. Once inside the suspect or suspects went through
several items in the dining room and bedrooms. The primary
items taken were, cash, electronics, jewelry, and several
antique guns. The owner estimates his losses at more
then $3,800.00. A neighbor noticed a dark green Buick
Park Avenue occupied by a w/m and a b/m in a nearby
driveway, but the vehicle left before a license number
was able to be seen.
