Week - November 27th, 2008
Hi, I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an Aggravated Criminal Sexual Assault, and Home Invasion
that occurred on November 5th 2008 at approximately
6:00am in the 900 block of N. 4th. The victim states
that while her mother and father were working, an unknown
black male unlawfully entered the residence and sexually
assaulted her. When the victim's parents arrived home
and were told what had happened, they attempted to locate
a suspect. The victims father then saw what he described
as a figure in the distance, on a motorized scooter
or bicycle going south down the sidewalk toward Dodge.
Once officers arrived on scene, the immediate area was
searched for a suspect but none was located.
