I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an Armed Robbery that occurred on 12-17-08 to McDonalds
at 3151 S. Dirksen. Employees report that a black male
approximately 5ft 9in to 5ft 10in with a stocky build
entered the business and walked toward the restrooms.
The suspect then approached the counter and displayed
a handgun and demanded money from the cash register.
Once the suspect was given money from the register he
asked where the rest of the money was. Employees were
then ordered to open the next register and the suspect
was given the money from the second cash register as
well. Once the suspect had the money he demanded he
left the business running south with the $1,015.00 he
had just taken.
