I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
several intentionally set fires that occurred between
the hours of 6pm to 9pm on January 2nd, 2009. The Springfield
Fire Department responded to the 1700 block of S. Mac
Arthur, 2400 block of S. Mac Arthur, and to the 2600
block of S. Whittier for reports of leaves and debris
on fire. The Springfield Fire Department also responded
to the 2600 block of S. Pasfield for a report of an
unattached garage that was fully engulfed, and further
investigation by the Springfield Fire Department shows
exposure to a residence in the 300 block of W. Lenox
due to the garage fire in the 2600 block of S. Pasfield.
