I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
an Armed Robbery that occurred on Thursday January 8th
2009 to Hardees at 2701 Stevenson Drive. Employees state
that while they were cleaning, two black males entered
the restaurant wearing black ski masks and black hooded
sweatshirts. Employees then state that both men had
hand guns pointed at them and ordered one employee to
the ground while the other was ordered to go to the
cash register and get money. While held at gunpoint
the employee opened the cash register as well as the
safe and the suspect took $958.00. One employee stated
that the suspect's voice sounded familiar. Both suspects
then left in a northwest direction on foot.
