I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information on
two Residential Burglaries that occurred on Saturday
February 21st and Sunday February 22nd. One burglary
occurred in the 1900 block of S. 17th. The victim states
that when she left for work all her doors were locked,
but when she returned home the deadbolt to her back
door was not locked and checks, a cell phone, and food
were missing. The second burglary occurred in the 100
block of west Cornell. An unknown suspect broke a small
plastic window to gain entry to the residence and once
inside took $400, Playstation 3 and games and a Nintendo
WII and games.
