I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
a Robbery to person that occurred on Wednesday February
18th in the 500 block of W. Elliott. The victim states
that she was walking across the parking lot to go to
church when she was approached by a white male 5ft 8in
tall with brown hair and brown eyes 140lbs wearing a
white hooded sweat shirt and jeans. The suspect then
asked the victim if she knew where he could get help.
He then grabbed the victim's purse and pushed her against
a minivan causing her to fall to the ground hurting
her leg. The suspect then left northbound on Bond in
a light colored 4dr vehicle. There was also a Burglary
to Motor vehicle in the same block on Saturday February
24th.
