I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an incident that occurred on Friday, March 13th, 2009
in the 1100 block of N. Macarthur that resulted in the
tragic death of 15 year old Nathaniel Myers. Nathaniel's
injuries were caused when he fell from a moving vehicle.
In addition to the identified driver the vehicle was
occupied by an unknown black make passenger. Information
is being sought for the identity of this passenger.
The second unrelated incident, Armed Robbery, occurred
on Monday, March 16th at 2191 Stevenson Drive. Two black
males entered the business displaying handguns and demanded
money. The two suspects then took 35 cartons of cigarettes
valued at $1750, 7 boxes of cigars valued at $210, $800
USC, Hewlett Packard Laptop computer valued at $1200,
two wallets, and a men's gold ring. The suspects then
left out the back door going east on foot.
