I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
a Retail Theft Over that occurred on Thursday, January
29th, 2009 at Patricia's, 805 S. Dirksen. A store employee
reports that while reviewing video from their security
cameras he noticed a white male wearing a tan and cream
colored Illinois hat with an orange "I" a
green Carhartt coat and his left thumb was heavily bandaged
5' 8" to 5' 10" 190 to 200 pounds. The suspect
then went to several areas of the store concealing numerous
items in his coat that was offered for sale by Patricia's.
It is believed that the coat the suspect was wearing
was altered to accommodate the items that he had concealed
in the front and back of his coat and also the sleeves.
The unknown suspect then left the store in an unknown
direction. The store employee stated the total loss
was $438.00.
