I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
a Residential Burglary that occurred between Monday
April 20th and Thursday April 23rd in 2300 block of
Chesapeak Landing. The victim reports that while they
were on vacation and the residence was being watched
for them, someone unlawfully entered the residence possibly
through the 1st floor bathroom window as there were
no other signs of forced entry. Once the suspect was
inside, $30.00 cash was taken from a table drawer as
well as $40,000.00 worth of jewelry from a jewelry cabinet.
Although some of the items have been recovered, information
is still being sought on any suspects.
