I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Armed Robbery that occurred on Friday June 26th to
First Bank located at 2201 W. Wabash. An employee states
that a white male 5'10" 140lbs, wearing a blue
cubs baseball hat with a white outlined red C on the
front and a plain gray long sleeved t-shirt and silver
and gray framed sunglasses approached her and demanded
money while pointing a small silver handgun at her.
Once the unknown white male was given money from the
first teller he then went to the next teller and demanded
money. Once the suspect was given money from both tellers
he left the bank running N/W across the bridge leading
to Robert Morris College.
