I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Armed Robbery that occurred on Monday July 13th to
State Finance located at 1056 W. North Grand. A Black
male 5'9" 185lbs wearing a black hooded coat, black
t-shirt, dark blue jeans and dark sunglasses came into
the business through the front door and demanded money
from two registers while displaying a silver revolver.
Once the suspect was given money from both registers
totaling $1000 he told the employee to sit down on the
floor. The employee then sat there for several minutes
as the suspect left the business in an unknown direction.
