I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Armed Robbery that occurred on Friday July 24th to
Chase Bank located at #1 E. Old State Capital. Employees
of the bank state a black male, 20 to 30 years old 5'8"
medium build, with a mustache, wearing a dark hooded
sweatshirt with what appeared to be a white adidas symbol
on the front, a black head rag and a black back pack
came into the bank and produced a note to an employee
while robbing the bank. Once the suspect was given $300
from one of the drawers, he left the bank on foot in
a northwest direction from the north side entrance.
