I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
two Thefts that occurred on Thursday August 13th at
US Bank 800 E. N. Grand and Marine Bank 1953 Sangamon.
An unknown Black male 5 ft. 8 in. 150 lbs. wearing a
white t-shirt and denim shorts riding a Mountain Bike
approached vehicles as they were getting money from
the automated bank machine. Both victims state before
they could pick up the container, the black male suspect
grabbed the container and fled on his bicycle. On Friday
August 14th, possibly the same suspect returned to US
Bank and committed a Vehicular Invasion by reaching
into the victims vehicle to get the bank canister that
he believed contained money.
