Hi,
I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
a Criminal Damage to Property (over $300) and an Aggravated
Cruelty To Animals that occurred Sunday August 9th at
the intersection of Wolfe Creek Rd. in Williamsville.
The owner of a year and a half old black and white bred
Heffer valued at $1,100 noticed that one of his cows
was down on the northwest side of the intersection.
When a County Deputy arrived one scene the Deputy reports
that it was obvious that the cow had been shot as she
observed a small bullet hole to the head area of the
cow. It appears that the suspect may have fired the
shot from Prairie School Rd as evidence on scene would
suggest. There has been no information given about a
possible suspect.
If you have information about these incidents, you
can remain completely anonymous by contacting Crime
Stoppers at 217-788-8427 [1-800-397-2288], submitting
a tip via the internet or using
a cell phone to send a tip [type TIP672 plus your
message and send it CRIMES(274637)]. You could get a
cash reward of up to $1000.
Remember Crime Stoppers wants your information,
not your name.
