I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Attempted Armed Robbery that occurred on Thursday
September 24th to Subway located at 2359 W. Monroe.
An employee states that an unknown white male 5ft6in
150lbs with blond hair wearing a black hat with the
letters "NY" on the front, white t-shirt,
and jean shorts came into the business and demanded
money while displaying a black handgun. The employee
states that the suspect also had his face covered with
a multi colored handkerchief. While the employee was
on the phone, the suspect heard her mention calling
the police and he then ran south from the business.
The employee also states that the suspects left arm
appeared to be disabled.
