I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Attempted First Degree Murder, Aggravated Robbery,
and Unlawful Use of a Weapon that occurred on Friday
August 14th at Quick-N-EZ located at 1101 Stevenson
Drive. An employee states a white male 5' 10" with
black hair and a mustache wearing a red hooded sweatshirt
and jean shorts sat a pizza down on the counter top.
When the employee went around the counter the unknown
white male followed him. Without warning the male grabbed
the employee from behind and attempted to cut his throat
with a knife. As a fight ensued, both the suspect and
the employee fell to the ground and the suspect fled
from the business on foot.
