I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
numerous Burglaries to Motor Vehicles and a Commercial
Burglary that occurred between Saturday October 17th,
and Monday October 19th. There have been Burglaries
to Motor vehicles reported from Cook to Lawrence and
15th to 25th, with the majority of the Burglaries occurring
in the 1700 block of East Cook. Victims report that
windows are being broken to gain access to the vehicles
and some doors were left unlocked. Items being taken
are stereos, purses, cash, credit cards, and fishing
gear. There has been no information given about a possible
suspect.
