I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
numerous Thefts, Attempted Thefts, and Criminal Damage
to Property of Coin Operated Machines. These incidents
occurred from Monday October 26th, to Friday November
13th. The areas affected by these incidents were 2800
block of North Dirksen, 3400 block of Lumber Lane, 1800
block of Sangamon Ave, 3400 block of Freedom, and in
the 1300 block of South Macarthur a vending machine
was taken. In one incident 2 black males were seen getting
into a red extended cab truck after taking a vending
machine, and in the 3400 block of lumber lane a white
male was seen prying on a soda machine but fled to a
dark colored late 80's to early 90's 2 door boxy style
vehicle.
