I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
numerous Residential Burglaries that have occurred in
the Eastern part of Sangamon County from November 1st
thru December 1st. The targeted area has been east of
Interstate 55 from Sherman (North) to Rochester (South).
It is reported that the burglaries have occurred during
the work between the hours of 8am and 4pm. The suspects
are gaining entry to the residences by forcing open
doors and breaking windows. Items taken during the burglaries
are flat screen televisions, laptop computers, game
systems, jewelry, and firearms. A pickup truck was also
reported stolen from one residence.
