Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week - December 17th, 2009

Hi, I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties.

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about numerous Residential Burglaries and Criminal Damage to Property that have occurred from December 1st, 2009 to December 12th. The areas affected by these burglaries were the 2300 block of Yale, 1800 to the 2200 block of Spring, 1800 block of S. 2nd, 2500 block 0f S. College 1800 block 0f S.4th, and the 2200 block of S. 6th. It was reported that suspects are gaining entry to the residence by breaking windows or prying open windows and doors. Once inside the suspects are taking flat screen televisions, computers, game systems, credit cards, scuba gear, fine art and numerous other electronics. With a total loss of $36,000.
