I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about
an Aggravated Robbery that occurred on Saturday January
30th at Walgreens located at 2305 W. Monroe. An employee
states that a white male in his 20's, 5ft5in, 190lbs,
black hair and a moustache, wearing a brown coat and
blue or grey flannel shirt came to the register and
demanded money and cigarette lighters. It was implied
that the suspect had a big knife and the employee was
told not to make any sudden moves. Once the suspect
was given $70 to $80 and Nascar cigarette lighters he
left the business going south west through the parking
lot.
