I'm Officer Butch Slater, Crime Stoppers' Coordinator
for Sangamon and Menard Counties.
This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery that occurred on Tuesday April 27th at National City located at 802 S. 11th. A black male wearing a white cloth mask, brown jacket with a hood, white tshirt, jeans, and a red ball cap entered the bank and demanded money while pointing a gun at employees. A 2nd black male wearing a black long sleeve shirt with a white design on the front, black jeans and white ball cap also entered the bank with the first suspect. Once the suspects were given money from the cash drawers, they both fled on foot from the bank going north then east on Lawrence.
