Crime Stoppers Coordinator - Officer Paula Morrow

Paula Morrow grew up in and around Springfield. She graduated from Auburn High School and then attended Lincoln Land Community College where she received her Associates Degree in applied science. Paula currently has returned back to college and is now attending Springfield College - Benedictine University, pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Managerial Business. Paula has one child, a son, who she says is the love of her life.

Paula was a dispatcher for Sangamon County Sheriff's Department before being hired by Springfield Police Department on April 12, 1999. During her career at Springfield Police Department, she has had the opportunity to participate in several different units within the department. Paula previously served as a member of the Honor Guard, she was a neighborhood patrol officer, an elderly services officer, and in the Pro-Active crime unit (narcotics). She is currently a member of the hostage negotiation team. Most recently, Paula was assigned to the Field operations Division in patrol. Paula states that her most rewarding experience was the two years that she was assigned to the narcotics unit. While in this unit, she was awarded the William Herndon Medal of Honor for her participation in Sudden Impact. She believes that her experience in that unit will be a significant asset to the Crime Stoppers Program.

Paula is very excited about the new position as Crime Stoppers Coordinator and hopes to bring some fresh new ideas to the program as well as to reinforce some of the past programs that Crime Stoppers offers.

Previous Crime Stoppers Coordinators:
Brenda G. Thompson, Bill Neale, Keith Ushman, Heidi Homeier, Sarah L. Iaienarro, Paula Morrow
