This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Theft, Deceptive Practices and forgery case which occurred between April 12th and 13th. A resident of Montvale Estates had a credit card stolen resulting in numerous illegal transactions at local retail establishments. The suspects are a black male and female and we have pictures of both which are posted on this website, cashfortips.us. If you can identify them you can leave an anonymous tip from the website.  If you have information regarding this theft or any other crime you can stay completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 788-8427, or text us by typing TIP672, then your message and send it to crimes. If an arrest is made based on your tip, you could be eligible for a cash reward up to 2500 dollars. Remember Crime Stoppers only wants your information, never your name.

This week Crime Stoppers needs information regarding a homicide at 1206 E Laurel on May 29th around 1a.m. The victim was sitting on the front porch when shots were fired from the west.  Crime Stoppers needs your help in solving this terrible crime. Seeking information relating to knife altercation resulting in non-life threatening stabbing of three women

Three women were taken to Springfield hospitals with non-life threatening stab wounds early Sunday following a disturbance at a house party on the 2800 block of South 13th Street, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office said.

No information was available on what prompted the the disturbance, which was reported about 4:50 a.m. The three victims were in a disturbance with another group of people, and at least one of the women in the other group had a knife and allegedly stabbed the three women, the sheriff’s office said.

Information useful to police include where wanted people are staying, what type of vehicle they are in, known hangouts or people they have been seen with recently.
