The home owner arrived home when they saw a white Chevrolet Malibu in their driveway. A male subject jumped the fence while the vehicle began to drive away. The driver of the vehicle stopped to allow the other male to get in and they left the area. $400 in damage and $400 in thefts occurred during the burglary. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reference an attempted theft and felony criminal damage that occurred on March 27^th, 2023 just before 6:00 a.m. at Cabinetland located at 4340 Peoria Rd in Springfield, IL. A male suspect cut a catalytic convertor off of one of the box trucks causing $4,000 in damage. After the male removed the convertor, an employee arrived on scene at which point the suspect left the convertor and drove away in a dark color sedan. The suspects appeared to have forced entry into the building before taking an assortment of items including copper pipe, wire and aluminum stud beams. Over $5,000 in property was stolen and $500 in damage was done by the suspects before they fled the area on a 4 wheeler. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reference two felony criminal damage cases in Springfield. The first incident occurred on March 10^th 2023 in the 3700 block of Camp Butler RD. The second incident occurred between March 14^th and 15^th at the CWLP sub station located at 3600 Ridgley RD. In both incidents, a large amount of fiber optic wire was damaged causing approximately $55,000 in damage collectively between both incidents. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office reference a felony theft that occurred during the early morning hours on March 5th, 2023 at the Animal Protective League located at 1001 Taintor road. During the theft multiple items were taken including a work platform and six 55 gallon barrels. Video shows a male subject in a single cab truck loading the work platform into the truck however it is unclear if he also stole the barrels. The items stolen were valued at $540. The two subjects are Karree L. Banks (26 year old male) and Marquell C. Scott (25 year old male). Banks and Scott are believed to have been traveling in a rental vehicle. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Rochester Police Department reference a residential burglary and felony theft that occurred on Circle Dr. on February 2nd, 2022 between 12:30 p.m. and 3:16 p.m. During the burglary an array of items were stolen including firearms, firearm magazines, ammunition and jewelry. The items were valued at over $1000. The suspect/suspects are believed to have been traveling in a black 2011 Kia Sorento with California registration “6RZM430”.
