This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Illinois State Police in reference to homicide investigation.  On March 13^th, 2024, around 1200 pm police were called to the southbound on ramp to I-55 at Stevenson Drive in reference to a body being found.  Investigators were able to identify the body as Teresa Coleman from Springfield who had been reported missing on March 4th.  Her death is being ruled as a homicide.  Anyone with information regarding Teresa’s death that leads to an arrest will receive a cash reward up to $5000.  An image of her can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about an Armed Robbery at Circle K, located at 1801 E. North Grand on Tuesday, January 21^st at 12:53am.  A black male suspect, 20-30 years old wearing a long black coat with the hood up, dark pants, white shoes and carrying a blue book bag entered the store.  The suspect displayed a black and brown handgun, demanded money from the register then fled westbound on foot. 2019 was a great year for Crime Stoppers thanks to our tipsters and the public attending our fundraisers.  968 tips were received, which led to 108 case closures and 57 arrests. Crime Stoppers assisted in the recovery of $209,570 dollars worth of stolen property and drugs. Over $22,000 dollars in rewards were approved and $16,950 dollars were actually claimed. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a deceptive practices incident that took place on November 25^th around 9pm at 3108 Turning Mill Dr.  A male subject impersonating a Springfield Police Officer made contact with the victim and told them they had a warrant and needed to cooperate by sending a large sum of money to a location in a different state.  The suspect was a white male, 5’10” wearing a dark stocking cap, dark quilted jacket, khaki pants and driving an older, blue or black police style vehicle.  If you have any information about this incident, call Crime Stoppers at 788-8427. This week Crime Stoppers needs your help to identify the suspect in a Commercial Burglary and Theft that took place between 10:30pm on November, 21^st and 0830am on November 22^nd at “The Barber Shop”, located at 2700 W.
