This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in identifying a suspect reference to a burglary and theft to a construction site at the Illinois Principal’s Association located at 2940 Baker Dr. in Springfield.  On December 25^th, 2024, a white male suspect wearing an orange sweatshirt with a black jacket gained entry to the construction site and removed several feet of copper pipe valued over $1,500.  Additionally, the suspect stole various power tools from the site as well. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Pleasant Plains Police Department in reference to a burglary.  In the early morning hours of November 18^th, 2024, two suspects broke into Linda’s Gaming, 202 W State Rt 125 in Pleasant Plains by forcing their way through a door. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify individual(s) reference a burglary. On September 25th around 3 am officers responded to an alarm at Farm & Home, 2408 N Dirksen Parkway.  Officers observed someone had forced entry to a section of the building. It was discovered that two male subjects broke into the building and stole two zero turn lawn mowers.  One was a Cub Cadet ZT150 and the other was a Kawasaki 160 Pro both valued over $14,000.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a burglary and theft.  In the early morning hours of July 8^th two male suspects broke into Lucy’s Place, 1822 Stevenson Dr. Once inside the suspects attempted to cut the power and broke into several gaming machines as well as an ATM machine.   The suspects stole over $13,000.00 in cash and caused over $3,000.00 worth of damage.  Photos of the suspects can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week we would like to highlight how Crime Stoppers in partnership with the community and law enforcement are making a difference. In just the first quarter of this year Crime Stoppers has taken in over 200 tips.  These tips led to over $78,000 in recovered guns, cash, property and drugs being taken off the streets. Crime Stoppers is a nonprofit organization that relies on donations and fundraising in order to pay out rewards for information to help solve crimes.  Currently, Crime Stoppers is having a Queen of Hearts drawing every Sunday night at 7pm at Weebles located at 4136 N Peoria Rd.   Additionally, our annual golf outing is fast approaching at Piper Glen Golf Course.  Deadline to register is June 21^st.  Additional information and event details regarding these events is available on this website, cashfortips.us.

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual reference stolen credit cards. On April 2^nd Officers were called to Mid-Town Auto Mart (901 E Cook) in reference to stolen credit cards being used.  The suspect, who appears to be a black male with facial hair, wearing a black Nike jacket was gone when officers arrived. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred in the 900 block of S 4th St during the night time hours between March 29^th and 30th. A vehicle window had been broken and the steering column had been removed causing over $1,000 in damage. Video footage shows two different suspects. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a Theft.  On March 16^th 2024, around 6 pm officers were called to Brandy’s located at 732 North Grand Ave East in reference to a patron who had left her purse behind and when she returned, it was gone.   Video from the business shows a white female with dark colored hair take the purse.  The purse contained cash along with debit and credit cards.  One of the cards was tried at another business in town the following day.  The female suspect was there with a white male who may also be involved.   Images of the two can be found on this website, cashfortips.us.
