This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred in the 1000 block of S 2nd St during the night time hours between January 3rd and 4th. A vehicle window had been broken out causing $500 in damage and the steering column had been removed causing an additional $1,000 in damage.
