This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual in reference to a forgery and theft that occurred at First Bankers Trust, 2201 Wabash, in Springfield.  On June 26th, 2025, an unknown white female entered the bank pretending to be a customer by using a fake passport with her picture but the victim’s information on it.  The suspect withdrew over $7,000.00 from the account.  Crimestoppers needs your help getting this suspect identified.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual in reference to a burglary that occurred at U Top Fashion, 846 E. South Grand, in Springfield.  On May 6th, 2025, around 4 pm an unknown black male suspect forced entry to a storage shed on the property.  Once inside, the suspect stole hundreds of dollars in property before fleeing south from the store.   At the time the suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify two individuals in reference to a theft and unlawful use of credit cards.  On April 19th, 2025, officers received a report of a wallet being stolen and the credit cards being used at various businesses around Springfield.  The suspects, who appear to be a black male and female made several purchases in town totaling over $8,000.00.  Images of the individuals can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a burglary that occurred in the Lake Knolls Subdividion in Chatham, IL.  On June 14th, 2025, around 1 pm a dark colored Chevrolet Blazer was observed in the area.  The blazer pulled into a drive and a female occupant got out and distracted a homeowner.  Another occupant of the vehicle got out and entered the residence and stole coin collections, jewelry, and cash.   Images of the vehicle can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual in reference to a theft that occurred at First Church of God, 2800 Adlai Stevenson Dr., in Springfield.  On April 2nd, 2025, around 10 pm an unknown white male suspect forced entry into the church.  Once inside, the suspect took money from a cash box and caused thousands of dollars in damage.  The suspect was wearing light colored clothing, dark colored shoes and was carrying a dark colored drawstring bag.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us.
