 This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to Criminal Damage that occurred at Humphrey's Market located at 1821 S. 15th in Springfield.  On November 23rd officers were called to the business for a report of the windows being broken out.   Video shows that on November 22nd around 11:30 pm a black male in the parking lot of the business pick up an object and throw it at the building causing over $4,000 in damage.  Images of the suspect can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. Holiday Shopping Tips

The holidays are here, and unfortunately, so is an increase in property crimes. Crime Stoppers wants to help you protect your gifts, your home, and your peace of mind with some quick tips.  

1) If you are ordering gifts online, be sure to track your packages, have them shipped to an alternate address or utilize a package lockbox. 

2) While you are out shopping, keep valuables out of sight and secure them in the trunk of your car.  When you arrive home make sure to remove all valuable items from your vehicle and secure them inside. 

3) If you are traveling for the holidays, contact your local police department to ask about a vacation check on your home.  While you are away don’t let mail pile up, place a hold on your mail until you return.

Unlawful Credit Card Use

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual in reference to a theft and unlawful use of credit cards.  On October 13th, 2025, officers received a report of a wallet being left at a local store and when the victim went back, it had been stolen, and the credit cards were used at various businesses around Springfield.  The suspect, who appears to be a black female made several purchases in town.  Images of the individual and the suspect vehicle can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. Fraud and Unlawful Credit Card Use

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify four individuals in reference to a theft and unlawful use of credit cards.  On October 16th, 2025, officers received reports of four black males,  in their 20s, attempting to defraud people in front of several west-side businesses.   The suspects, posing as employees of the Boys and Girls Club, were claiming they were collecting donations to help pay for funeral expenses and got away with over $10,000.  Images of the individuals can be found on this website, cashfortips.us.
