Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week

 September 28, 2017

Officer Mike Badger, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard counties.

On September 5th, shortly after 8 pm after a female got off a bus at the 1600 block of North 21st , a slim black male approached her from behind and pressed a black handgun against her neck. The subject robbed her of her purse and left the area on foot accompanied by 2 other males. The victim was not injured, however, there are three people who are now wanted for armed robbery, and Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $2500 for information leading to their arrests.

If you can identify the individuals responsible for this robbery or if you have other information which can put detectives on the right track in the investigation, Crime Stoppers would like to hear from you. Call our tipline at 788-8427 with your anonymous information or leave a tip on the Crime Stopper website cashfortips.us. The critical information you’ve left has led to scores of arrests and many thousands of dollars in rewards paid this year alone, and this is one more case we’d really like to pay on.
