This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a theft and criminal damage case that occurred at Lake Springfield Marina, 17 Waters Edge, in Springfield. On August 9^th and August 10th officers were called for a theft report where suspects stole gas tanks from rental boats.   On August 10th around 10 pm a white SUV was seen parked at the far end of the lot.  Two suspects, one wearing a red shirt with dark colored pants and the other wearing a white shirt and light colored pants, exited the SUV and went to the rental boats.  A short time later the SUV pulls down to the docks and the gas tanks are loaded into the SUV before leaving.  Images of the vehicle can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a homicide that occurred near the area of 14^th and Cornell in Springfield around 5:50 p.m. on August 18th, 2025. Officers responded to the area for a report of shots fired. During the incident, Officers found 3 victims with gunshot wounds, one of which was tragically killed.  Crime Stoppers needs your help solving this case. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify two individuals in reference to a felony retail theft that occurred at Family Dollar, 1935 W Monroe, in Springfield.  On July 25^th, 2025, around 8:30 pm two black males, approximately 20 years old, entered the store and purchased two gift cards.  After the transaction was completed with both suspects using the same card to pay, it was discovered the card they used was fraudulent.   One of the black males had long dreads wearing a white T-Shirt and the other was wearing a black shirt and orange shorts.  Both males fled the store heading south.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Illinois State Police in the ongoing investigation into the homicide of Teresa Coleman. South Grand, in Springfield.  On May 6th, 2025, around 4 pm an unknown black male suspect forced entry to a storage shed on the property.  Once inside, the suspect stole hundreds of dollars in property before fleeing south from the store.   At the time the suspect was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts.  Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us.
