This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department reference an attempted motor vehicle theft and criminal damage that occurred at State Farm located at 1200 W Jefferson on November 9th around 2:30 p.m. The victim saw two young males inside their vehicle attempting to steal it. Upon confronting them, they fled the area. While examining the vehicle, the lower half of the steering column had been removed causing approximately $500 in damage.
