Officer Mike Badger
Crime Stopper Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard Counties
This week Crime Stoppers is looking for information you can give us to help solve a series of thefts of ATV's and zero turn mowers in the area. Many of the thefts were in rural areas and, although the thefts have been reported in all parts of the County, there seems to be a concentration of thefts in the eastern part of Sangamon County. In many instances the ATV's were removed from garages or out buildings and were pushed or driven away from the residence.
These thieves may also be responsible for residential burglaries in rural areas. Let's identify these crooks, find them, and lock them up. If you have any information which might help in the investigation, call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427. You can also submit your tip on this website or text your tip. Instructions for leaving your text tips are on this page
Remember, Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward if your information about this crime, or any crime, leads to an arrest.
