This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office in reference to a theft and criminal damage case.  On August 3rd around 10pm an unknown black male wearing an orange hoodie and shorts forced entry into Rock Candy located at 1830 Stevenson Drive in Springfield.  Once inside the business, the unknown black male stole the cash register with $200.00 in cash. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to an aggravated battery that occurred in the area of Wolfe and Keys around 10pm on August 15th, 2025.   The victim was riding the bus and in the area of Wolfe and Keys the suspect boarded.  The suspect immediately came up to victim and began kicking him in the head as well as slamming his head into the window of the bus.  The suspect was described as a mixed male wearing a green shirt.   Images of the individual can be found on this website, cashfortips.us. This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking the communities’ assistance in locating Georgia Holder, who was reported missing in Springfield. Holder, who is 51 years old, was last seen back on February 8th    around 5:30 am near North Dirksen Parkway and Ridge Ave.  Her sudden disappearance has raised concerns, as it’s out of character for her to go without contact.  Holder was last seen wearing a black coat with stripes with a blue nightgown underneath.  She is 5 feet 4 inches tall weighing 90 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. Hit and Run w/ Injuries

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in identifying a suspect reference to a burglary and theft to a construction site at the Illinois Principal’s Association located at 2940 Baker Dr. in Springfield.  On December 25th, 2024, a white male suspect wearing an orange sweatshirt with a black jacket gained entry to the construction site and removed several feet of copper pipe valued over $1,500.  Additionally, the suspect stole various power tools from the site as well.
