This week Crime Stoppers is seeking tips about an armed robbery at Natures Select Dog Food Store at 540 W Monroe, on Jan 28th at 3:30p. In this case a B/M, 6’0-6’2, around 150lbs, wearing a light grey hooded sweatshirt, matching sweat pants and wearing a black stocking around his face, brandished a box cutter and demanded money. The suspect then fled on foot N/W towards Springfield High school.   This week Crime Stoppers is seeking tips about an armed robbery of a person at 2652 S 10th on Feb 7th around 1a.m. In this case a B/M about 6’2, 150-170 lbs, in his 20s, wearing a black hooded jacket, approached the victim in her driveway, punched the victim in the face and then took money from her pockets, while holding a silver knife. The suspect fled north from the area. A 24-year-old Springfield resident was found dead on the front porch of a home in the 200 block of North MacArthur Boulevard late Monday night.The victim, who lived at the residence, had been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene, Springfield police said Tuesday morning.Authorities arrived at the home about 11:15 p.m. Monday after a report of gunshots being fired

Springfield police are looking for a man who robbed the Nature’s Select Pet Store Wednesday afternoon.Police described the robber as a dark-skinned black man with a thin build who is 20 to 30 years old and between 6 feet and 6-foot-2. He was wearing a light gray sweatshirt and sweat pants.
