Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week    (Continued from page 1)
December 7, 2017

Officer Mike Badger, Crime Stoppers Coordinator for Sangamon and Menard counties.

In today’s world there are surveillance camera’s nearly everywhere and there are thousands of criminal acts captured by these cameras. Images of ‘crimes in progress’ have resulted in scores of arrests and most often make convictions almost a foregone conclusion. On occasion, there’s clear video images of the perpetrators, however, investigators are not able to identify the suspects in the surveillance video. This is where you can help.

The Springfield Police Department has posted pictures of suspects who they haven’t been able to identify -up to this point- along with the criminal case number on their website spd.springfield.il.us . Hit the ‘Can You Identify’ tab and see if you know who any of the suspects are. If you do, call the Crime Stopper tipline anonymously at 788-8427 and receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest. Make sure you get the case number if you are able to identify any of the suspects. We’ve even posted a link below on our website Cashfortips.us so you can view the images and return to our site to leave your tip. If your identifying information leads to their arrest, you'll earn a cash reward. Let’s show these criminals that crime doesn’t payfor them, but it can for law abiding citizens!
