This week, Crime Stoppers is highlighting its upcoming fundraising events.

Crime Stoppers’ Queen of Hearts is back!  Join us every Monday night at 7 PM for the drawing at Weebles Bar and Grill.  Can’t make it out there? No problem — you can grab your tickets at Jamie’s Rt. 66, Northern Lights, Franny’s, and Little Corner Bar. And mark those calendars — Saturday, January 31st, 2026 — it’s our 15th Annual Crime Stoppers Trivia Night at the BOS Center!
Last year, more than 1,200 people came out for a night of fun, friendly competition, and community support — and this year’s event promises to be even bigger!  Keep checking this website, cashfortips.us, for details on sponsorships and registration which is coming soon.

Triple Homicide

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Sangamon County Sheriff's Office reference a triple homicide that occurred in the 3000 block of Hoover in Springfield. Around 2:30 p.m. on October 9th, 2025, Deputies responded to the area for a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered 3 victims that were deceased, one of which was a 9-year-old child. Crime Stoppers needs your help to hold those accountable for this senseless act of violence. Seeking tips to crack unsolved murder

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) -Springfield police are still hoping for a break in the unsolved murder of a 23-year-old man.

Sterling Raye Washington was shot in a home invasion on January 25th, 2018, inside a home in the 1900 Block of East Edwards St.
