This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Fire Department in reference to an arson that occurred on December 21st around 1:00 am at Carter’s Fish Market, 1900 E. South Grand in Springfield. Video shows a black male with a gray beard, dark coat and dark colored stocking cap pouring liquid from a blue jug around the cook shed.  The suspect ignited the liquid setting the cook shed on fire causing over $25,000 in damage. This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a robbery/vehicular invasion that occurred at All Star Grocery, 806 Black Ave in Springfield. On November 19th, 2025, around 2 pm, the victim, was getting ready to leave in a vehicle when a light skinned male, wearing a black hoodie and a face mask, entered the vehicle through the passenger door.  After the victim refused to surrender their vehicle, the suspect struck them in the head with a firearm and fled. Seeking tips to crack unsolved murder

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WAND) -Springfield police are still hoping for a break in the unsolved murder of a 23-year-old man.

Sterling Raye Washington was shot in a home invasion on January 25th, 2018, inside a home in the 1900 Block of East Edwards St.
