This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a robbery/vehicular invasion that occurred at All Star Grocery, 806 Black Ave in Springfield. On November 19th, 2025, around 2 pm, the victim, was getting ready to leave in a vehicle when a light skinned male, wearing a black hoodie and a face mask, entered the vehicle through the passenger door.  After the victim refused to surrender their vehicle, the suspect struck them in the head with a firearm and fled. This week Crime Stoppers is announcing an increased reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the triple homicide that occurred on October 9, 2025, on Hoover Street in Springfield. On October 9, 2025, the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting in the Hoover Street area. Upon arrival, deputies discovered three victims who were deceased at the scene, including 9-year-old Cash Russell. The Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office continues to lead the investigation, with assistance from the FBI Springfield Field Office.
