Deceptive Practices

This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a deceptive practices incident that took place on November 25th around 9pm at 3108 Turning Mill Dr.  A male subject impersonating a Springfield Police Officer made contact with the victim and told them they had a warrant and needed to cooperate by sending a large sum of money to a location in a different state.  The suspect was a white male, 5’10” wearing a dark stocking cap, dark quilted jacket, khaki pants and driving an older, blue or black police style vehicle.  If you have any information about this incident, call Crime Stoppers at 788-8427. You will remain completely anonymous and if an arrest is made based on your tip, you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars.   This week Crime Stoppers needs your help to identify the suspect in a Commercial Burglary and Theft that took place between 10:30pm on November, 21st and 0830am on November 22nd at “The Barber Shop”, located at 2700 W. Lawrence in Springfield.  A brick was used to break a window and gain entry to the business.  The unknown suspect fled with charitable donations that were going to be used to purchase Christmas gifts for children during this holiday season.  If you have any information about this Burglary and Theft, call Crime Stoppers at 788-8427.
