This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about several counterfeit $100.00 bills that have been passed in the Springfield area in recent weeks.  The bills are modified $10.00 bills and appear legitimate until close inspection.  Law Enforcement is also seeing an increase in “Movie” money and bills with “Foreign” writing being passed as real currency and although it is not illegal to possess these bills it is illegal to pass them as currency.  Anyone with information about persons who are forging or passing counterfeit currency should call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 788-8427, submit a tip on this website, Cashfortips.US or download the P3 app on your mobile device and submit a tip from there.  If your tip leads to an arrest you will receive a cash reward up to 2500 dollars.   This week Crime Stoppers is seeking information about a Robbery and Aggravated Battery at Family Dollar, 1425 E.
